After an extensive search of the industrial market led by Jay Willingham, UME’s management analyzed the results and made the decision to put their current facility on the market and move to a building with three times the square footage. The then current manufacturing space was listed for sale with Jay who promptly found a qualified buyer. This enabled UME to make a simultaneous1031 Tax Deferred Exchange and save the tax expense of an outright sale.
