FL Smidth’s business is manufacturing industrial use air filtration bags, Substantial growth within a short period of time resulted in their company conducting its manufacturing process in a 42,000 SF facility while warehousing its supplies and finished products in three separate leased warehouses located within a one-mile radius of their production facility.

Results

FL Smidth and Jay Willingham negotiated a long-term lease for a build-to-suit manufacturing facility. The site chosen was within one mile of the I-20/I-520 interchange, the logistical center point of Augusta and the optimal site for the daily commute of FL Smidth’s 120 person work force.

Architects and site engineers worked directly with FL Smidth’s operations officers to design a production and warehousing facility that provided optimal operations and production workflow.
